Scripture Focus: Hebrews 12
Today, I fix my eyes on Jesus—the pioneer and perfecter of my faith. He endured the cross for the joy set before Him, and because of that, I am reminded that perseverance has purpose. When the race feels heavy, I choose not to give up, knowing my faith is being strengthened through endurance.
I receive God’s discipline not as punishment, but as love. The Lord disciplines those He loves, shaping me so that I may share in His holiness. Even when discipline feels painful in the moment, I trust that it is producing a harvest of righteousness and peace in my life.
Today, I will be careful not to fall short of the grace of God. I recognize that being God’s child comes with holy expectations—to live a righteous life, to pursue peace with everyone, and to worship Him with reverence and awe. This is what is pleasing to Him.
I choose to run this race faithfully, allowing God to train my heart, refine my character, and draw me closer to Him.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus today. Teach me to receive Your discipline with humility, to live a holy and peaceful life, and to worship You with reverence and awe. Strengthen me to run with endurance. Amen.
