Scripture Focus: Matthew 6
Today, I declare that my life is anchored in what is eternal, not what is temporary. I choose to fix my mind on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy, knowing that what I dwell on shapes how I live (Philippians 4:8). My thoughts are not ruled by fear, comparison, or human approval, but by the truth of God’s Word.
I declare that every good work I do on this earth matters to God. Scripture reminds me that my reward does not come from being seen by others, but from my Father in heaven. Therefore, I choose to practice righteousness with a pure heart and right motives, not for recognition, but for obedience (Matthew 6:1).
I declare that my generosity is done in secret, trusting fully that God sees what is hidden and rewards faithfully (Matthew 6:3–4). I give freely, knowing that everything I have was first given to me by God. I am not stingy or fearful, because I serve a generous Father who multiplies what is surrendered to Him.
I declare that my prayer life is sincere and rooted in trust. I do not strive to impress God with many words, for He already knows what I need before I ask (Matthew 6:7–8). I come before Him with reverence, gratitude, and confidence, praising Him for who He is, welcoming His presence, and submitting myself to His Kingdom and His will.
I declare that my heart is free from unforgiveness. I choose to forgive, just as I have been forgiven, knowing that forgiveness keeps my heart aligned with the Father’s heart (Matthew 6:14–15). I refuse to carry bitterness, because freedom and peace are found in obedience.
I declare that my devotion is genuine. When I fast, I do so quietly and humbly, not seeking attention, but seeking God alone. I trust that my Father, who sees in secret, will reward me openly (Matthew 6:16–18). My spiritual discipline is not a performance—it is a relationship.
I declare that my focus remains on what cannot be destroyed. I store up treasures in heaven, not on earth, because eternal rewards far outweigh temporary gain (Matthew 6:19–20). I choose a fulfilled life here on earth while keeping my eyes fixed on eternity.
I declare that I am an ambassador of Christ. Though I live in this world, I am not of it. I do not worry about provision, clothing, or tomorrow, because my Heavenly Father knows exactly what I need (Matthew 6:31–32). I trust Him completely as my Provider.
Above all, I declare that I will seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, confident that everything I need will be added according to His perfect will (Matthew 6:33). This is the life I choose. This is the Kingdom I serve. This is the declaration I live by.
Prayer
Lord, align my heart and my mind with Your will. Teach me to live for what is eternal and to trust You fully in all things. I choose Your Kingdom above all else. Amen.
