Great exploits, can be classified as one the things anyone would want to hear at the beginning of the year as a wish for what they will be able to accomplish in the new year. We always want to hear good things and we are always so excited for new beginnings every year. As we embark on the journey of a new year, brimming with possibilities, let’s ensure the enthusiasm stays with us throughout the entire year.
Recently, a person was told that she will do great exploits in Jesus’ name in the town she lives in. The thrill of being chosen by God was evident, igniting profound gratitude within her. This prompted me to ponder: what exactly are these “great exploits”? By definition, they are remarkable and notable deeds, spirited or heroic acts. Initially, my mind envisioned miraculous healings and awe-inspiring feats such as those recounted in the Bible.
The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. Daniel 11:32
However, a gentle nudge from the Holy Spirit redirected my thoughts. Is there any miracle greater than someone surrendering their life to Jesus? While physical healings are impactful, the choice to embrace Jesus ensures not just temporal well-being but an eternal life filled with miracles. The scripture in Daniel 11:32 resonates powerfully: “The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”
Imagine the profound miracle of bringing souls to Jesus, guiding them toward eternal life. When one gives his life to Jesus, he gets the eternal life AND gets to live a life full of miracles! He gets to have the Lord of Lords and King of Kings living in his own heart, he experiences a supernatural life, he gets a peace that transcends all understanding, he gets a helper who is full of wisdom, and guidance from the creator of the universe. He gets a Healer who will heal him both emotionally and physically, he get a bestfriend who will help him holistically. He gets an all in one life! When we comprehend the magnitude of this mission, we realize that Heaven is our steadfast ally in accomplishing it. The key to embarking on these exploits courageously is an intimate understanding of our Lord.
If you have sensed God’s call but fear and anxiety have hindered your response, remember: Heaven backs you up! Maybe God showed you a certain mission He wants you to do for Him and you have been pushing it. We all do this at some point in our journey with God and what assures me the most is that our God extends grace, offering fresh opportunities even when we falter. Today, He wants to tell you that the root of the procrastination is fear and anxiety of how people will see you or judge you. However, remember that Heaven got your back! Halleluiah!! Since the secret to doing great exploits courageously for God is our understanding of our Lord, this is a reminder to go back and learn again who our God is. Don’t focus on your strengths or fears; instead, gaze upon the powerful God who works great exploits through willing hearts.
